On saturday both Metallica and Type-O went out to a place called "Lusa Rock
Cafe" to meet the fans. I didn't know about this, and passed by the place 4
or 5 times without going in. Was really pissed when I heard about it the day
after.
I don't really think there's so much to say about the TON concert, nothing
new anywayz. Manhole was a nice surprise, hadn't heard them before. Some
guys shouted "We love you!" to the singer. She just said "Didn't you listen
to that fuckin' song?!" and then when they continued she said something like
they wouldn't like her at all if they knew her. Moonspell was good. A bit
silly when they had this backing-vocals thing on the keyboard, and the
singer didn't know if he should pretend that HE was singing it or not. But
Moonspell really ruled if you asked me. Then finally Type-O came on. It was
just before this I got in a few words with the guys from CoC! Well, the
tracklist is for some reason a bit jumbled right now in my head, but I think
it's about the same as what has usually been reported here. MGG was a lot
heavier than on the album, which was great. During Christian Woman,
everybody was singing along. After the song Pete said : "If there is a
God....He'll probably condemn me to hell for writing that song. But I won't
be alone, I'll have all of you users with me." Then they went straight into
"In Praise of Bacchus". The song I enjoyed the most hearing live? I think it
must've been "Are you afraid/Gravity", although I usually like the newer
material better, this is one of my old faves. Cinnamon Girl I still think is
a bit boring, esp. live! For those who seem to care about that : Yes, Pete
in his tank-top and military-hat with a ponytail, and yes he let loose his
hair after a while. And yes he was drinking red wine, and the crowd DID go
wild when he through in the bottle at the end.
