Yeah, I saw Type O at the show in Little Rock. They opened with the
traditional Machine Screw stage version, which merged into Gravity. I had
read that they were a very loose band, and since this was the first time I
saw them, I was expecting a less than perfect sound, but I could not have
been more wrong. The mix was near perfect, the volume deafening. Kenny was
all over the stage, Josh seemed posessed, and Johnny's bass drum left me with
a hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach for days afterward.
Peter was, well, Peter, ocassionally taking swigs from the beer bottle on his rack, and
changing the words to songs, "Ozzy looks like me" in Christian Woman.
In tribute to the Deep Purple tour, Peter opened Too Late:Frozen with the
main riff from Smoke On The Water. The new song, My Girlfriend's Girlfriend
is a GREAT song. It sort of reminded me of the slower part in We Hate
Everyone. All in all, Sepultura was cool, Ozzy was cool, but I believe TON
stole the show. I recommend you see them if you can.
