Anyway, since nobody else bothered, here's my limited take on the Danbury
show:
First off it was a gorgeous night to ride & even though no one may have seen
me they could easily have seen my bike, parked out front next to a yummy
Harley chop ridden by a very nice young man from the Charter Oaks MC. The
club was packed. I arrived right after LOA started & they were absolutley
brilliant. I just stayed in the back since the club was so solidly crammed
but it didn't matter. The pit stretched all the way to where I was, up
against the back wall.
TON's set was identical to the one in RI but with less between song chatter. It was good to hear a rousing chant of "you suck" from the crowd which prompted a bit of "kill you tonight" but ended up only being KATWP. They've added a snow machine which was in full effect during "frozen" and which seriously amused me. A minumum of goths in the crowd, mostly sweaty users in reeeeeally big pants. I was fortunate enough to have some pre-pubescent pseudo-skinhead stand in front of me for a bit with his pulsating neck acne directly at eye level for me and this proved to be a bit of a distraction until he moved away. I also had some idiot toss his split ends in my face which prompted me to grab a fistful of his hair, tap him on his shoulder & ask "Is this yours? I found it in my face."
It was a good show, a good crowd and a nice place to see a band. I still felt odd being by myself but no one bothered me. I left promptly after B#1 so if there WAS an encore I don't know about it. The show was over by midnight, I guess TON played for about an hour, it seemed quick. One thing, though. Every time I hear MGG I keep hearing this 80's new wave song along the lines of "We're riding on the escalator of life". Oddly enough I didn't run into anyone from the list...
